Alex strengthens the Fishery Solutions Center’s operations by establishing and implementing adaptive management strategies to maintain effectiveness, ensure program focus, and foster communication. Her work focuses on strategic planning, budget management, resource allocation and facilitating collaboration across the center’s teams and projects. Prior to joining the Fishery Solutions Center, Alex worked in outdoor education, leading high school students on marine science and conservation trips around the world, including the Caribbean, Central America, South Pacific, Asia and Africa. She loves nature and can often be found spending time outdoors backpacking, camping and running. Alex graduated from Duke University with a Masters in Environmental Management (MEM) and holds a B.Sc. in Biology and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.
