As part of the Diagnostics & Design Team, Alexis manages the FSC’s diagnosis efforts to understand the challenges and opportunities that exist in the complex, interacting systems that shape fisheries. She also provides governance and policy support to regions to examine and overcome barriers to sustainable fishing projects, with a focus on small-scale fisheries management and implementation. Alexis has been with EDF since 2013, where she began as project manager for our small-scale fisheries initiative in SE-Asia and Latin America. Before coming to EDF, Alexis was a Knauss Fellow with the NMFS Office of International Affairs. She has her Master's degree in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a B.S. from Boston College. She is an avid hiker, diver, and loves photography, to read, and explore.
