Christopher Cusack
Kravis Post-Doctoral Science Fellow

Chris is a Kravis post-doctoral fellow working in the research and development team of the Fisheries Solutions Center. Chris is working to advance EDF’s engagement in real world fisheries management problems by harnessing recent technological advances in the oceans space, improving the methods we use to assess fisheries and the communities that rely on them, and helping to build capacity for science based fisheries management around the world.

Prior to joining EDF Chris worked as a consultant specializing in the bioeconomic modeling of fisheries, and also spent the better part of a decade in the Alaskan fishing industry both as a fisheries biologist and a fisherman.

Chris holds a doctorate in applied fisheries economics from Oregon State University and a  bachelors in oceanography with marine biology from the University of Southampton, U.K.
